We’ve already seen what the Based God curse can do to athletes, like when Kevin Durant suffered an injury and James Harden’s team was knocked out of the playoffs (there has to be an A/B correlation here, right?). But we haven’t yet seen how falling into Lil B’s good or bad graces could affect a politician.
We may be about to find out.
Last month, the Bay Area rapper took to Twitter to lend his support to Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, and on Tuesday (Aug. 11), during an interview on CNN, he explained his decision.
Once the people started telling me about Bernie Sanders and comparing what he was doing back in his younger days and what [Hillary Clinton] was doing, it made me kind of look at her different — not really respect her as much as I thought,” he said.
“When I judge these candidates, I really just try to look at their authenticity. You know, we’re all judging; it’s sad that we do that and we categorize. I’m a victim of it, because I judged Hillary Clinton. I’m not against Hillary Clinton. I support the Clinton legacy.”
